Dropping The Shopping…

Good morning crafty friends, how are you today?

I hope if you are near enough that you will be visiting the shop tomorrow for our last open day of the year. There are some great offers on (we know some of you travel a long way, so it’s a little thank you from us) and we still a have a couple of places left on the workshops if you fancy joining in and making a day of it

We were hoping that the new Cross Stitch charts would be ready in time…   and they are, yippee! You can buy them tomorrow in the shop and they will be available on the website on Monday

first cross stitch launch

Each design contains two A3 black and white charts; one showing backstitch and cross stitch, and one with just cross stitch symbols for ease of reference. Also included is a full colour front sheet featuring the finished design Our first launch consists of four fairies and two Christmas charts featuring 6 small separate designs on each

I’ve had a go at many crafty hobbies over the years and although I love to sew, Cross Stitch is something I’ve never done. I’ve been watching the girls here at HQ stitching up the samples and they look amazing, I can’t wait to have a go myself!

I have another card today from Sheri who is our Guest Designer for November…

Time for a hop… and some news

Morning all, we’re having a blog hop today to celebrate the release of our latest stamps and papers, but first some news….

I know many of you love our Ideas to Inspire blog and all the fabulous work we share from our talented DT, but I’m sorry to tell you that it will be closing in December when we finish for Christmas

But, I’m excited to also be able to tell you that we are launching a brand new website in the New Year which will have all the same great daily inspiration and more!

We are keeping all the best bits of our existing website but there will also be a fantastic ideas section where you can see a different card and project everyday as well as loads of helpful projects and tutorials. The website will have some much needed features for you our customers such as being able to create your own account and view your order history, zoom functions so you can see the products more clearly and the facility to add wish lists so you can save favourites for later

Of course you will still be able to visit the DT’s own blogs for inspiration using our products and we are very much looking forward to launching our new website for you in January 2015!

Right, onto the hop, we have 10 cute new stamps and 3 paper pads which will be available on the website from Monday and also at our Christmas open day on Saturday if you are coming along

Visit each blog for ideas using the new products and we have 2 hidden prizes along the way; a set of the 10 new stamps and also the 3 new paper pads. The winners will be drawn at random from the comments that are left on the 2 lucky blogs

Just follow the links and hop from one blog to the next, if you get lost along the way just come back here and pick up where you left off

Our October Top 5

Morning all, what are you up to over the weekend? Something nice and crafty I hope!

I have our Top 5 today from the October challenge, as always it was so difficult to choose just 5

We had a record number of entries last month and changed our minds several times over which were our favourites, you are all very clever and there were some beautiful cards

Here they are in entry order;

Our first choice is entry 13 from Katie

Katie made this beautiful shaped card using one of our 10th Birthday Fairy stamps, this cutie is called Midsummer's Night

Next is number 24 which is by Julie

This is such an unusual layout, Julie used our Lazy Afternoon stamp which is the perfect image for a retirement card

Jeanet gets our next Top 5 slot with her lovely tri-fold baby card…

This is our Baby Boy stamp, we also do a matching Baby Girl so you could do a pink one too for a girl

Entry 85 is by Helene

This lovely card has a real vintage feel to it and I love the muted colours.

Sadly this James In The Snow stamp is discontinued and has now sold out but we do have quite a few other seasonal stamps featuring him

…and our final spot goes to entry 103 from Louise

We like to see our products being used for other things than just cards and Louise made these pretty place tag holders with the Bonnets & Bowties papers and a selection of girlie stamps. This is a lovely project, they would be great for your  Christmas table and I can feel my mojo stirring with ideas as I type!!

So those are our top picks, we had about 20 favourites as always but sadly could only pick 5. Well done ladies please email me for your blog banner

Our Challenge for November is a Christmas one, it’s our last Challenge so get your entries in and help us make it our best one ever!

Let me know what you think of our Top 5 and I’ll draw a winner from the comments for our daily candy. The lucky winner from Thursday is you ionabunny, please email with your address

Have a lovely Saturday everyone, see you tomorrow for another sneaky peek
