Oh So Girlie blog hop …

Good morning everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Firstly today we’re not having a Theme Thursday so here’s the winner from last week, drawn at random it’s number 40 and that was you…

Val Jones

thursday theme winner

Well done Val, email erica@liliofthevalley.co.uk with your address. You’ve won one of our brand new girlie stamps, it’s the one that was used on last Theme Thursday cards and it’s called My Favourite Friends

*

Right, time for another of our fun blog hops to celebrate the launch of the 5 gorgeous new Girlie stamps over the weekend

The stamps will be available to buy on the website from midday on Monday 4th November and also at our open day on Saturday if you are able to come along

*

We thought we’d have a change for this hop,  you all enjoy seeing how an image can be used in different ways so this time we are showing cards all made using the same stamp

We’ve chosen Getting Ready  ...and she is just adorable!

*

I’m sure you know what to do by now, just ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links and leave a comment on each card, hopefully we can give you lots of ideas and inspiration

As always we have some hidden prizes along the way, we don’t know where they are so do be sure to visit and comment on every blog

We will let you know tomorrow which were the ‘lucky’ blogs and the winners will be drawn at random from all the comments that were left on those blogs

~~ we have 3 sets of the new stamps to give away  …three lucky winners will each get all 5 new designs~~

Here's a list of all the blogs taking part, and remember that you will need to visit them all and leave a comment on each one to have the best chance of winning;

Here’s a card to kick us off by Jen...

Getting Ready - Jen

I love the colour scheme that Jen used, the cute image is quite rightly the focus of her lovely card and she also used one of our sentiment tags

There’s another card from Jen later in hop too

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow evening, I’ll announce the winners and then if you are coming along on Saturday you’ll know beforehand

Fiona 4 October - JPP Top Hat

She also sneaked one of the Christmas Grungy Messages on there too, these are so useful

Dancing Queen …

Good morning bloggers, hope you all had a fab weekend

We’re heading into the last week of October (really!!) and it’s going to be a busy week for us

We have our next Open Day on Saturday (2nd November) so we have to get the shop ready and stocked up with lots of crafty goodness for you. Keep an eye on here, the website and Facebook this week for more news about what will be happening

The five new girls will be launched at the Open Day so you will be able to get them a couple of days before they go on sale on the website

Dawny is taking another one of our popular all day workshops, unfortunately this one is full but there are still a few places on the November 30th one so if you fancy coming along on that date then why not make a full day of it and book yourself in. You can find details on the website here

Swirly Fir Tree …

Morning all, what you up to today? I hope you’re all having a nice weekend so far

lotvguest260

Time to introduce Nicola again who is one of our guest designers for this month

Nicola made this lovely gift bag as her next project for us, she’s used the Swirly Fir Tree stamp

Nicola 3 October - Swirly Christmas Tree

Wouldn't you be delighted if someone gave you a gift presented in a beautiful bag like this, I know I most certainly would!

We sell the plain kraft gift bags in our Leeds shop, Dawny decorated one at the last workshop and everyone loved doing it, it’s such a nice change from making a card

Nicola also used one of our Christmas Grungy Messages

*

Have a look on Nicola’s own blog here to see the details of how she made her bag and you can also browse all her other lovely work while you’re visiting!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you tomorrow

James and our Quick Cards column…

Good morning crafters, thanks for taking time out of your Saturday to stop by

We have got a Lili of the Valley column in issues 119, 120 and 121 of Quick Cards magazine which is quite exciting!

Lisa is writing it and sharing all our news and I have made a card for each feature

*

This is the card that is shown in issue 119 which is on sale now and I’ve used a fab James the Bear image from one of our Art Pads

This pad is called Furry Christmas and has an adorable selection of James The Bear images along with our popular Jack, Patch and Puss and also our new Polar Bears

They are great if you’re not a stamper or your colouring is not quite up to scratch. Our stampers also love them too because there are always times when you need to make a quick card

There are 30 pages in each pad for just £6, Laila sourced a lovely quality smooth white card and you get 3 each of 10 different images – great value for money!

Furry Christmas - Anne

I used our Candles and Cake papers on my card

They’re not really Christmas papers but I love the red and the green out of this pad for Christmas cards, they’re such gorgeous bright shades   …perfect!

The ‘hope your day is filled with joy’ sentiment is from Christmas Handwritten Phrases. This and the regular Handwritten Phrases are my go to stamps when I need a greeting and are always on my desk. I love the font and there is a sentiment for any occasion on these 2 sets

Hope you like it, I’ll put the full details on my own blog later if you would like to know what I used

*

That’s it from me, have a lovely Saturday all

Getting ready …

Morning all, Friday again and another week has flown by!

We’re at the HobbyCrafts show in Glasgow until Sunday at the SECC so if you’re going to the show do make sure you visit us on stand B20

Rich is on his own so if any of you lovely kind crafters would like to take him a coffee I’m sure it would be very much appreciated   …it’s quite hard for him to get a break!

*

Onto todays card and I have another sneaky peek of our new girls which are out on November 4th

Our Lou made this and the stamp is called Getting Ready

I love the rich colours she’s chosen, see it doesn’t always have to be pink for the girlies!

That’s it from me for now, I’ll be back lover the weekend with more cards so be sure to stop by if you can

Enjoy your Friday everyone

Create & Craft and Frosty Christmas

Morning everybody, how are you today?

createandcraft

If you didn’t already know then we will be on Create and Craft tomorrow at 12 midday
Our Dawny will be flying the Lili of the Valley flag again and showing some fabulous stamps, papers and toppers so if you’re not going to be around then don’t forget to set your videos (or is it digi boxes these days!)

According to the schedule Leoni is presenting which is great, she’s a crafter so always seems to be genuinely interested in the products rather than just the sales figures and I think she’ll really like what we have on the show tomorrow!

*

I have something a bit different to show you today and this was made by Dawny
She’s used our hugely popular Frosty Christmas papers to make this fabulous starry wreath

Feeding Robins …

Morning bloggers, thanks as always for taking the time to stop by and I hope you’re all well?

I have a card from Fi to show you today who is our other guest designer for October

Fiona and Nicola each won a Guest DT spot with their fabulous cards in our August challenge

Here’s a little bit about her;

IMGP1596

So, my name is Fiona or Fi for short! I'm married with 2 children, one is flying the nest with his girlfriend some time soon :( and the other is 15 and she is very high maintenance!! We also have a golden lab who is now an old girl and quite poorly so she gets lots of love and attention

I live in a little town called Bathgate which is almost half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I also work full time and I have to say...I do really enjoy my job most of the time.  I work in HR for a large entertainment company  ...one of the biggest in fact, and have been there for almost 14 years.

I have always been into some kind of arts and crafts and when the kids were little I took up knitting which I do love too but then as time goes on they don't want to wear knitted jumpers so I took up card making as I was encouraged by my friend. That was about 5 years ago   ....I could never stop now!!

I have had a few guests spots over the past couple of years but I am on the Team at The Sugar Bowl and I co run Sweet Stampin Challenge.  I have a guest spot coming up at My Mum's Craft Shop in November

*

Fi has used Feeding Robins on her card...

Fiona 3 October - Feeding Robins

Isn’t it lovely!

She’s also used the little Noel tag which is from our popular Christmas Grungy Messages set

Fi will put the full details on her own blog here so do go and visit …and you can see more of her lovely cards on there too

See you tomorrow, enjoy your Tuesday everyone

This was made by Kim and she’s used Dancing Queen

Snow Buddies…

Good morning everyone, I had a lovely break in London for a few days (and spent a bloomin’ fortune!)

Thanks to the DT for looking after the blog, I did keep checking in to see what they were up to, and just as I knew they would, they had some gorgeous cards to share with you this past week so thanks for all your encouraging comments. Because I wasn’t here on Monday to pick a winner I’ll draw 2 names next Monday from the last two weeks comments and you’ll each win a £10 voucher

*

Before today’s card I just wanted to let you know about a new challenge that our friends Mary and Andrea have started on their fab Ribbon Girl blog

It’s going to be held once a month and it’s a Lovely Lili challenge which means you have to use your Lili of the Valley products to be able to enter, there are some fab prizes and as always lots of inspiration from the design team. The first one started last weekend but you still have time to enter so do pop over and have a look here

*

Right, on with today’s post and I have a card from one of our lovely Guest Designers …

This is Nicola and she won one of 2 guest DT spots in our August challenge…

29.1.11-3.2.11 001

A little bit about me......I'm Nicola, hitting the big 40 this month and addicted to paper crafts!

I'm married with three adorable children - Joshua 10, Callum 7 and Jasmine 5 and we live in the East of England

I work part-time as a Preschool Assistant and I'm lucky that it doesn't take up too much of my time so I have plenty of time to get creative. I've always loved making things and used to do cross stitch until I discovered card making about seven years ago and haven't looked back since

I make a lot of shaped cards and 3D projects as I love anything unusual and out of the ordinary!

Nicola 2 October - Snow Buddies

Nicola made another fabulous shaped card for her second card and she’s used Snow Buddies

You’ve loved these cute Polar Bears and I’m not surprised seeing this card

You can see more details on Nicola’s own blog here and there will be more from her later in the month

*

Have a lovely Friday everyone, see you tomorrow
